The Carmel Arts District is a perfect place to start exploring Carmel Indiana. It is located in the heart of Old Carmel around the intersection of Rangeline and Main. Home to art galleries, antique stores, showrooms, restaurants, and a wide variety of specialty retail shops, the Carmel Arts District adds a unique touch of class to an already charming city. The Arts & Design District is part of a multi-million dollar renovation of downtown Carmel. It includes newly constructed buildings, sidewalks, lighting, and gateways with an emphasis on maintaining historic charm. Designed to attract artists and designers as well as students, this renovation is reinventing Carmel from the inside out. Development includes a mixture of retail and residential units, including units with retail on the main level and residential on the upper floors. With additional access to the District via the popular Monon Trail, this is a great destination for the entire family. Carmel’s renovation doesn’t stop there, with construction now underway on the nearby City Center and a new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, this town is in for some exciting changes.
